The Phi Upsilon Omicron Gamma Alumni Holiday Brunch and Auction was held at the Worthington Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, Saturday, November 16, 2019 beginning at 9:30 am. A social hour with spiced cider gave opportunity for members and guests to purchase from a selection of items on the buy-it-now table (thanks Ella Mae for organizing), to see live auction offerings and start bidding at the silent auction. The meal followed - a buffet featuring 5 crust-less quiche selections, assorted fruit trays, and an array of breakfast rolls and breads. Carafe of coffee and individual "Better than Pumpkin Pie" desserts were placed at guest tables. The tables were festive with burlap/lace tablemates and decorative pumpkin centerpieces (thanks to Alice, Katie, and Michele). Food was prepared, set up by the church's Presbyterian Women. Alice Miskell prepared and donated spiced cider for the social hour and Norma Pitts provided the desserts. Members also helped with final cleaning. 48 people were in attendance. Proceeds from the Buy-It-Now table, the silent auction, and live auction plus extra donations totaled $2,638.50 - resulting in a very successful fundraising event as well as a fun time!
