Celebrating Spring 2026 with a Memorable Potluck, Collegiate Initiation and New Officer Installation

The Gamma Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron gathered on April 16, 2026, for our annual Spring Potluck, with Alumni and Collegiate members present, including a Spring Collegiate Initiation. Hosted alongside a chapter potluck, the event brought together collegiate members, alumni, advisors, and friends to welcome new initiates and recognize the leadership that continues to strengthen our Phi U family. The evening began with members and guests gathering for a generous potluck filled with a wide variety of homemade dishes and conversation.

Advisor Dr. Ann Paulins opened the ceremony and Initiation Chair Ainhoa Beauchamp Serafim led the collegiate initiation, guiding initiates through the traditions that mark their entry into Phi Upsilon Omicron Gamma Chapter.

Chapter President Anna Czarnecki, Incoming President Kathryn Brooks, and collegiate members Maria Abdul‑Masih and Abby Shortall participated in the ceremony, offering support and representing the chapter’s student leadership.

The initiation honored both the accomplishments and the potential of each new member, celebrating their commitment to scholarship, service, and professional excellence.

The ceremony concluded with an inspiring charge delivered by Susan Shockey, President‑Elect of the Gamma Alumni Chapter. Her message encouraged initiates to carry forward Phi U’s legacy with integrity, compassion, and purpose—reminding them that membership is both an honor and a call to lead.

Following the ceremony, Alumni Chapter President, Connie Cahill, welcomed Incoming President Kathryn Wood, and Incoming President Elect Susan Shockey as our new leadership for Gamma Alumni.

The Gamma Chapter of Phi Upsilon Omicron proudly welcomed new initiates, honored graduating members, and installed the 2026–27 officer team.
